Cox joins 'Scrubs' for three-episode arc

The former Friends star has been cast as Sacred Heart hospital's new Chief of Medicine, replacing Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins).
Cox's character will reportedly "ruffle feathers".
Her other screen credits include the Scream trilogy, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and the recently-cancelled FX drama Dirt.
The eighth season of Scrubs is scheduled to premiere on its new home ABC later in the year.
