The Turner Entertainment Group has consolidated executive management of its TNT and TBS Superstation, resulting in Steve Koonin becoming executive vice president and chief operating officer of both networks.
Mark Lazarus, President of Turner Entertainment Group, said: "Steve’s appointment is part of a larger effort across our company to ensure that each of its divisions is optimally built for continued growth. Consolidating our entertainment networks under one head with responsibility for all programming, on-air promotion, marketing and day-to-day operations will aggressively position Turner Entertainment for growth. TNT’s successful branding as the destination for drama has resulted in industry-leading growth across all day parts. Steve brings an impressive track record as a leader and innovator to the Superstation. His involvement with both networks will result in more strategic leveraging of our unrivaled programming and people assets."
