Selma Blair has revealed that she accepted a role in new US comedy Kath And Kim because she was tired of filming on location.
The actress said she grew weary of being away from home after spending six months shooting movie Hellboy II in Budapest.
She told Los Angeles Confidential magazine: "My life seemed really fragmented. I wanted to stay in one place longer. So I thought it might be nice to go and do a TV show."
The series, based on the Australian sitcom of the same name, focuses on the dysfunctional relationship between Kim (Blair) and mum Kath (Molly Shannon).
NBC recently ordered seven additional episodes, extending the show's first season to 13 half-hours.
