'Simpsons' creator wins award

Matt Groening, creator of smash hit animation series The Simpsons, has been named "Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year" at the 2003 Reuben Awards, according to the AP.
The Reuben Award won by Groening, a statuette designed by and named after the first president of America's National Cartoonists Society, Rube Goldberg, is one of the industry's most prestigious.
