ABC mulls idea of ninth 'Scrubs' season

The network will air Scrubs for the first time this year after it was axed by NBC, the comedy's home for seven seasons.
"We do think there's an opportunity after that (season eight)," McPherson told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour this week.
The executive mooted the idea of introducing a new generation of doctors to replace the current cast, as has been seen on ER, but said talks were ongoing with creator Bill Lawrence and star Zach Braff.
"There's a great opportunity for growth there," McPherson added. "Hopefully it will not be a one season situation."
