Production has ceased on the New Tom Green Show midway through tis run, MTV have confirmed.
The programme made a strong debut in June of this year, averaging almost 900,000 viewers per night across its first week.
Ratings for the repeats have dropped as low as 250,000 in recent weeks, leading to the cancellation of series two, which was due to debut on Monday.
"In spite of critical acclaim, 'The New Tom Green Show' was unfortunately unable to sustain the initial rating success it enjoyed in its earlier weeks," an MTV spokeswoman said. "Tom remains a part of the MTV family and we look forward to working with him in the future."
