'Newlyweds' gets renewed

MTV has decided to renew its vows to Newlyweds Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.
The couple will be back for a second season of their fly-on-the-wall reality series next year. The first ten-episode slate concludes on October 21, five days before their first wedding anniversary.
Also back will be comedy music show Doggy Fizzle Televizzle and the longrunning Road Rules.
Brian Graden, president of entertainment for MTV and VH1, said: "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle and Newlyweds both found a strong connection with our diverse audience and Road Rules, one of the original reality shows, is still a big hit after 12 seasons."
