CBS yanks 'Brotherhood'

The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire has become the latest show to be pulled from primetime network TV in the run-up to ratings sweeps month - the critical period during which ratings are used to calculate advertising rates.
CBS announced on Wednesday that the show has been placed on hiatus indefinitely, although there was no confirmation as to whether this would be the end for the show entirely. Reuters reports, however, indicate that David E. Kelley - the show's producer - has told the show's cast and staff that production of the show had been shut down "altogether."
The show, which didn't fare particularly well in the ratings, will be replaced by a series of specials to air throughout the November sweeps period.
