Former CBS CEO and Chairman dies

Former CBS chief executive and chairman Laurence A. Tisch died on Saturday. He was 80.
Tisch took control of CBS in 1986 after spending $800m to shield the television network from hostile takeover bids. He served in the CEO and chairman roles until 1995, when the network was bought by Westinghouse Electric. CBS is currently owned by Viacom, which bought the network in 1999.
