'Band of Brothers' to air on History Channel

The History Channel will air the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers with limited commercial interruptions as part of its D-Day anniversary programming.
The History Channel is usually carried in standard cable packages, while HBO is a premium subscription channel.
The Hollywood Reporter quotes HBO's president of domestic distribution as saying:
"I think the exciting thing about this is that this property is about to have a phenomenal amount of exposure."
The series has been shown in the UK on the BBC.
