Paul Reubens has dismissed claims that he is to join CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
It was recently reported that Laurence Fishburne wanted the actor to take the role of a "psychopathic killer after something goes horribly wrong in his life".
Fishburne, who will join the show in the upcoming ninth season, was said to be keen to help the Pee-wee Herman star revive his career.
However, Reubens's spokesperson denied the rumours, telling WENN: "That story is false."
It was announced last week that Fishburne will replace William Petersen as the lead in the US drama.
