Jennifer Aniston has signed up to make a guest appearance on NBC comedy series 30 Rock.
The actress's publicist Stephen Huvane confirmed the news in a statement yesterday. No further details have been released and it is not known whether she will be playing herself or a fictional character.
30 Rock, which stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, centres around the production of a fictional sketch-comedy show. It premiered in October 2006 and returned for a second run in the 2007-2008 TV season.
Aniston became a household name in 1994 when she signed up to play Rachel Green in Friends, which also aired on NBC. The show became an international hit and ran for ten seasons.
30 Rock's third season premieres on October 30 in the US.
