Reality turns to soap in new Fox series
Published Monday, Dec 22 2003, 20:36 GMT | By James Welsh
Fox has ordered twenty-five episodes of Forever Eden, a new reality series from the makers of reality TV show Paradise Hotel.
However, Television Week reports that Eden could become a reality soap opera; the show will have a continuous production schedule and although Fox currently only plans to air one episode a week, the schedule would offer the flexibility for the network to air it multiple times - turning it into an ongoing reality "soap."
The premise is that a selection of men and women will stay at a resort, outside the US, with no contact with the outside world. Money will be the incentive to stay in, although Television Week reports there will be some method by which participants leave and join.
