'The Return' heads for ABC

A new science fiction series entitled The Return is being developed for ABC.
Variety reports that Greg Berlanti and René Echevarria are working on the project, which focuses on the effects on the world when extra-terrestrials land. The pair will be executive producers on the show, which currently has no transmission date scheduled.
Berlanti's track record includes executive producing Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone and Brothers And Sisters, while Echevarria is best known for showrunning Dark Angel and The 4400 and writing numerous episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
