NBC has confirmed plans for a two-hour Frasier finale programme block to bring the long-running sitcom to an end in May.
An hour-long retrospective will air at 8pm on Thursday, May 13, followed by an hour-long finale episode at 9. The show is now in its eleventh season.
Jeff Zucker, NBC's president of entertainment, news and cable, said:
"What more can you say about this beloved, classic series? It has set the standard for every other comedy on television. Its record for Emmy wins as Outstanding Series will stand forever. This programme has represented the ultimate in class and sophisticated humour. Eleven years never passed so fast and we will all miss our weekly visits with the neurotic Dr. Crane and his clan."
