Breakout reality series The Simple Life will be back for a second season later this year, it was confirmed today (Tuesday).

"We're talking about a couple of different ideas now with the producers, Bunim-Murray," said FOX Entertainment president Gail Berman. "I think we'll come up with a new plan shortly."

The first season of the show followed rich girls Paris Hilton and Nicola Richie as they were stripped of their cash and comforts before being sent to live with a rural Arkansas family for a month.

During its run the programme averaged 10.4 million viewers on the FOX network and regularly won its timeslot amongst the younger demographic.

Simultaneously the net announced that it would be airing a previously unseen episode from season one next Monday, January 26. In the "lost" installment, Paris and Nicole get a new job with a taxidermist.. but suprise, things don't go quite to plan.
