Fox axes sitcom 'Do Not Disturb'

Fox has pulled the plug on its sitcom Do Not Disturb after just three episodes, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The beleaguered comedy, which stars Jerry O'Connell as the manager of a New York hotel, will be replaced in its 9pm slot next week by Til Death.
Ratings for Til Death have also been poor, with the show experiencing a 26% drop from last week in comparison with Do Not Disturb's 13%.
Do Not Disturb's producers earlier apologised to TV critics for not airing the pilot first, instead choosing to debut the show with the episode 'Work Sex'.
"We here at Do Not Disturb agree that by airing the 'Work Sex' episode - before airing the actual pilot - we created much confusion and we deserve all the criticism, the bad puns (i.e. 'an early checkout from the fall season,' 'Do Not Make in the First Place,' etc.) and, yes, even the accusation that it very well could be the final nail in the multicamera sitcom's coffin," the writers told Variety.
