MTV Networks has appointed Christina Norman as the new president of VH1.
Norman joined the network, which recently rebranded, in April 2002. MTV Networks Group president, Judy McGrath, said:
"Christina and her team have reinvigorated everything about VH1 and the results are nothing short of amazing. The new on-air look and expanded programming slate have taken the network to a new level, evidenced by the reaction from viewers. VH1 has experienced its most watched, most profitable year ever, and 2004 is off to a very strong start. Christina is one of the most talented people in the industry, and we are so lucky to have her in this leadership role."
