Purefoy's 'Philanthropist' to film in UK
Published Monday, Sep 29 2008, 10:14 BST | By Simon Reynolds

The network will partner with its new British subsidiary Carnival (Hotel Babylon) on the project.
NBC President and CEO Jeff Zucker said that the decision to switch filming to the UK would save the network money.
"We are making The Philanthropist in the UK," he said. "In the past we would have made the show in the US. Production in the UK is done at a much more efficient rate."
The Philanthropist will star James Purefoy as a rogue billionaire who uses his wealth and power to help people regardless of the risks or costs.
Zucker added: "We're going to shoot all over the world and have a truly international cast. This show will be a global show created specifically for an American audience."
