Published Tuesday, Sep 30 2008, 22:01 BST | By Simon Reynolds

The US revamp follows the UK version closely, with Brad Morris and Rob Chester Smith starring as Mark and Jeremy, best friends and flatmates with mismatched personalities.
RDF USA and Objective Productions, the company behind the original Channel 4 sitcom, have just completed filming a half-hour pilot in Chicago.
Dylan Kidd directed the inaugural episode from a script by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, creators of the UK series.
Executive producer Chris Coelen told The Hollywood Reporter: "This is a huge audience favourite in the UK. In adapting the format, we had a lot of funny material to draw from, but we slightly tweaked it to make it more American."
