NBC will erect a treehouse in New York to promote its forthcoming series Crusoe, reports Variety.
The treehouse, a replica of the one used in the network's Robinson Crusoe adaptation, will be built at the corner of Broadway and 51st Street ahead of the show's October 17 debut.
Actors Philip Winchester (the eponymous shipwrecked Brit) and Tongayi Chirisa (Crusoe's native friend Friday) will appear at the treehouse on Thursday as part of the promotional tour.
In addition, NBC also plans to launch website Savecrusoe.com which will run a 24-hour webcam stream from the treehouse.
