'Mentalist' handed full season order

The network last week ordered six more scripts for the police procedural, and a full season greenlight had been expected this week.
The Mentalist stars Simon Baker as a former psychic medium who assists police investigations using his acute observational skills.
The show has averaged viewing figures of 16.1 million, making it the season's top-rated new drama.
