'Medium' back sooner than expected

NBC has ordered an extra three scripts for Medium as it plans to shift the season premiere for the Patricia Arquette psychic drama.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the midseason show may make a return to screens earlier than expected, with NBC telling the production to have episodes ready for broadcast before the end of the year.
The Glenn Gordon Caron-created series revolves around Allison DuBois (Arquette), a psychic who uses her abilities to aid the district attorney's office in Phoenix, Arizona.
Medium's fifth season was originally scheduled to debut in January next year.
