'Joe Schmo' to return for second series

'Fake' reality TV series The Joe Schmo Show will be back for a new run.
US network Spike TV has given the go-ahead for season two, despite the programme's well-publicised premise. In the first season, regular bod Matt Kennedy-Gould was fooled into thinking he was part of a reality show called 'Lap of Luxury', unaware that the other contestants were actors and that all of the ridiculous situations were contrived.
Show producers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese said that season two would parody a different genre of reality TV but refused to be drawn on specifics.
A target premiere date has not been given.
