'Pretty Little Mistakes' heads to NBC

NBC is developing Pretty Little Mistakes, a series based on Heather McElhatton's "reader's choice" novel, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The book offers readers the chance to select the path taken by its female protagonist at the end of each chapter. It begins at high school graduation and presents the two choices - go to college or travel - leading to 150 possible endings.
Friday Night Lights showrunner Jason Katims will oversee the series, which is aiming to mirror the format of the book. NBC is currently devising the best way to allow viewers to dictate the narrative.
In 2001, Fox produced a pilot, Nathan's Choice, utilising a similar idea. It allowed viewers to vote online or by telephone to decide the fate of the protagonist.
