Reports in Variety are indicating that Viacom is ready to push ahead with plans for a new 24-hour network aimed at gays and lesbians.
The long-rumoured network, with the working title 'Outlet,' may finally now be on the cards due to "positive talks with top cable operators," the industry publication says.
The media giant has changed its strategy, repositioning it from a pay-TV brand alongside premium channel Showtime to a basic digital cable channel alongside the likes of MTV and MTV2.
