La Salle returns to 'ER' as director

La Salle, who was with the NBC show from its first episode in 1994 until 2002, will helm a final season instalment airing in February. Since departing ER, he has directed episodes of Law & Order: SVU and Without A Trace.
Executive producer David Zabel told Variety: "In the years since Eriq left ER he's established himself as a very accomplished director.
"We're all thrilled to have him contributing a different talent to a show that he's already contributed so much to."
