Shatner calls for end to Takei feud

William Shatner has called for ex-Star Trek castmate George Takei to put an end to their long-standing feud by appearing on his talkshow.

Shatner was not invited to Takei's September wedding and promptly accused the actor of suffering from "psychosis".

Takei later hit back, saying that Shatner was asked to the same-sex ceremony but did not respond to the invitation.

In a recent YouTube video, Shatner insisted that he wants the disagreement to end, saying: "George has been mean to me for a long time... in public and I've never said anything... I wish he'd stop being mean to me.

"For me, there's no fight... I would like to [talk to him]... I'm not mad at him, I'm annoyed that he keeps saying bad things about me."

Shatner added that he wants Takei to appear on his new TV show Raw Nerve.

"I'll issue an invitation to George to come and talk to me," he said.
