Marvel has begun developing an animated TV series based on long-running comic book Thor.
A live-action big screen outing for the Norse god is scheduled for 2010. The TV show is expected to follow in the autumn.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 26 half-hour episodes are being produced by Marvel Animation.
The show will apparently follow Thor's adventures and battles as he defends his home in Asgard against various villains. Characters including Balder the Brave, the Warriors Three and Thor's evil adopted brother Loki will feature.
