Reese Witherspoon has said that she would love a cameo appearance in NBC comedy 30 Rock.
The actress claimed that the show's creator Tina Fey "understands comedy for women".
"30 Rock is awesome," she told E!. "Oh, sure [I would appear on the show].
"Yeah. I love Tina, and I think she does such a great job."
Speaking about the increasing prominence of females on the US comedy circuit, she added: "[I love] Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig - all those girls on Saturday Night Live. It's been such a great year for women to come out."
Witherspoon is currently promoting the festive movie Four Christmases.
