24 actor Vanessa Ferlito has joined the cast of upcoming CSI spinoff CSI: New York.

Ferlito - Claudia in the real-time drama - will play one of the forensic team on the new cast, who will be introduced in an episode of CSI: Miami on May 17.

As reported earlier today on Digital Spy, Gary Sinise is "in talks" about taking the lead role.
