A&E has renewed the American, Granada-produced version of Airline for a second series, it was confirmed on Wednesday.
The show airs on A&E every Monday night at 10 and 10:30pm ET, and has become the show with the youngest-skewing demographics on the network - making it a very attractive proposition for renewal.
Robert DeBitetto, Senior Vice President of Programming at the A&E Network said:
"It’s always gratifying when the public and the critics are both enjoying a new series. Airline has proven to be a show that uses real life in the best ways. It’s funny, it’s dramatic. We’re delighted to bring new episodes to Airline fans."
The second series will again focus on Southwest Airlines, and filming will continue at Los Angeles International and Chicago Midway. Baltimore/Washington International Airport will also be added to filming this time round.
