Martin Savidge is leaving CNN for NBC News, although he will continue to be based in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quotes CNN chief Jim Walton saying:

"Marty has proven time and time again that intellect, ability and courage make for a great reporter. As someone who has grown with CNN over the years we are grateful for all that he has contributed and wish him the best."
