Chalke to star as Lifetime's 'Maneater'

Sarah Chalke has been cast in the lead role in Lifetime's four-hour miniseries Maneater, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Scrubs star will play Clarissa Alpert, a socialite in her 30s who has a crisis of confidence because she is still single. The story centres around her plan to snag a Hollywood producer as her husband.

Timothy Busfield will direct from a script by Frasier's Suzanne Martin.

Chalke previously led the cast of Lifetime's Why I Wore Lipstick To My Mastectomy.
