Original star John Stamos had reportedly been pitching a revival of the ABC show, which made household names of twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
A source close to the project said: "We couldn't make the deal. It's completely dead right now."
Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995, focused on a recently widowed father who asks his brother-in-law Jess (Stamos) and friend Joey (Dave Coulier) to help raise his daughters D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (the Olsen twins).
Bure earlier explained the idea behind the "semi-remake" to OK!, saying: "I know it would involve me and Jodie... We would revive our characters but today as young women."
