The online season two premiere of Flight Of The Conchords has attracted a quarter of a million viewers, says The Hollywood Reporter.

More than 250,000 streams were registered on website FunnyOrDie.com in the first ten days of the Conchords's online premiere. Tens of thousands of additional views have been notched up on the website of HBO, the cable network that airs the comedy in the US.

The season finale of Conchords attracted 950,000 on TV, with its season premiere getting 100,000 streams on MySpace last year.

HBO recently purchased a share in FunnyOrDie, a website conceived by Anchorman duo Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.

Flight Of The Conchords stars Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie as a New Zealand musical duo searching for stardom in New York. The second season begins January 18 on HBO.
