Tech TV, G4 to merge

American cable operator Comcast is to buy the Tech TV cable channel and then merge it in with its own technology channel, G4.
Citing a "source familiar with the terms who spoke on condition of anonymity," the AP says the deal is valued at around $300m. The new network will be available on cable programming tiers reaching over 40m households.
G4's founder and chief executive, Charles Hirschhorn, will run the combined network which is expected to focus on gaming.
