Taylor Swift to guest star on 'CSI'

Country music star Taylor Swift will appear in a forthcoming episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The 19-year-old will play Haley, a troubled teenager whose family manages a seedy Las Vegas motel.

The show's executive producer Naren Shankar told TV Guide that the episode would start in the present, then revisit the last year, documenting a series of changes which end in personal tragedy for the character.

This will mark the first television acting role for the singer, who recently hosted Saturday Night Live.
