Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy, his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly became household names with their award-winning reality show The Osbournes, which ended in 2005.
Their latest venture, Osbournes Reloaded, to be broadcast on the Fox network, will feature a series of skits, impersonations, audience games and celebrity guests.
"We are letting them go as far as they can. They are raunchy and funny and also a warm, real family," said Mike Darnell, president of alternative entertainment at Fox.
"It is family viewing. We might have a few old-age pensioners being kissed, and stripping grandmas, but it is all good clean fun. There is nothing mean spirited about it."
The show will reportedly also feature performances from Ozzy and entertainment from a pair of "mini-Osbournes" - child actors who dress and behave like Ozzy and Sharon.
Ozzy said: "I'm willing to try anything once...We are a very dysfunctional family, doing a very dysfunctional show."
Six episodes of the project have been filmed so far and are scheduled to air on Fox later this spring.
