Brokaw to stay at NBC News through 2014

Tom Brokaw will stay at NBC News through 2014, it was confirmed today.
Brokaw will anchor and produce documentaries on a wide range of issues, and still plans to step down as the anchor of NBC's main 6:30pm news bulletin on December 1, 2004.
Bob Wright, Vice Chairman of GE and chairman/CEO of the newly-merged NBC Universal company, said: "For more than two decades, Tom Brokaw has been the public face of NBC News and a mentor and inspiration to his colleagues. We are very pleased he will remain with us for at least another decade, and that the American public will continue to benefit from Tom's talent and experience."
