NBC picks up 'Community' comedy pilot
Published Thursday, Feb 12 2009, 15:50 GMT | By Mayer Nissim

Community is written by Don Harmon, who co-created The Sarah Silverman Programme.
Harmon will also act as executive producer on the show, which is being brought to television by Krasnoff Foster Entertainment and Sony TV.
The comedy has been described as being like Stripes, a 1980s movie which starred Bill Murray as a cab driver who joins the army as a prank.
Last month, it was revealed that NBC had ordered a pilot for a TV spinoff of the hit Steve Martin film Parenthood.
