'Fringe' moves to Canada
Published Tuesday, Feb 24 2009, 11:02 GMT | By Dan French

The move from New York is apparently due to the current economic climate.
"In this challenging and uncertain economic environment, we have made the very difficult decision to move the production of Fringe from New York to Canada in the event the series is renewed for a second season," said a Warner Bros spokesperson.
Warner Bros credited the New York film team for the success of the series. "We are deeply indebted to the talented New York production crew that helped bring the first season of Fringe to life, and we thank them for their invaluable contributions."
Earlier this year, filming for the show was halted due to a hotel strike in New York.
