Auditions for Fox's hit dance show, presented by Cat Deeley, are currently underway.
When the auditions conclude, weekly performance shows will air on Wednesdays, with the results shows following on Thursdays.
"We're delighted to have Dance back for a fifth season," said Mike Darnell, Fox's president of alternative entertainment.
"Fox is very lucky to have television's preeminent performance competitions in American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, and it's no coincidence that creator and executive producer Simon Fuller and executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe have been a part of both these successes."
So You Think You Can Dance kicks off its fifth season with a two-hour premiere on Thursday, May 21 at 8pm.
