The show's executive producers - Silverman, Dan Sterling and Rob Schrab - have reportedly threatened to quit after they were told the budget for the series would be slashed by more than 20%.
Silverman is said to have told network bosses that they can't proceed with a third season, insisting they will be unable to maintain the integrity of the show at the discounted price.
Last year, the US comic was heckled off stage during her UK stand-up debut.
