New tattoo reality show heads to A&E

A&E has ordered a new reality series featuring Inked star Thomas Pendelton, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project - titled Tattoo Highway - will follow Pendelton as he tours the US in a mobile parlour, tattooing customers.

Pendelton's wife and business partner Monica will join him as he travels to cities including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.

"All the other series have been based in tattoo parlours," said executive producer Bob Horowitz. "Here the premise is this is the first tattoo parlour on wheels, and he goes where the stories are. Imagine all the things that can happen when you take something like this on the road."

A&E plans to premiere the series in the spring.
