The pilot revolves around a group of friends who are all fired on the same day. Bynes will play Sarabeth, a naive Midwesterner who does not realise that her boss is exploiting her.
She will join Tim Peper, Stephanie Lemelin and Baron Vaughn, who were previously cast in the pilot.
Bynes has previously starred in Hairspray and the comedy series What I Like About You.
