'American Idol' raises audition age limit

American Idol producers have upped the age limit for prospective contestants to 28.
Announcing the dates of various auditions for the next season of the hit show, producers confirmed that anyone between the ages of 16 and 28 can turn up at the following locations:
Cleveland, OH: August 4
St. Louis, MO: August 8
Washington, D.C.: August 18
Orlando, FL: August 26
New Orleans, LA: August 31
Las Vegas, NV: September 12
Anchorage, AK: September 28
San Francisco, CA: October 5

The next season of American Idol will air in January 2005.
