Seacrest 'out' as talkshow axed
Published Wednesday, Jul 28 2004, 13:51 BST | By Neil Wilkes

The news came shortly after the announcement that 20 FOX owned-and-operated stations around the country would not be carrying the second season of On Air, scheduled to begin September.
Ratings for the first season were decent but not extraordinary, with an average 1.0 household rating since its debut last November.
Production company Twentieth Television issued a brief statement saying that the ratings were "not as strong as we had hoped."
Seacrest will next be seen on air next January at the helm of American Idol 4.
