DirecTV drops Trio

NBC Universal has signed a new carriage agreement with US satellite operator DirecTV - but Trio has been excluded.
A report in USA Today quoted an NBC spokesperson as saying that the media conglomerate is now "evaluating our options for Trio." DirecTV accounted for over 60% of the 18m homes that Trio, which carries pop culture-aware programmes and even LWT's Dame Edna specials, reached.
