Connie Stevens receives honour

Connie Stevens has been recognised by the Caucus for Television Producers, Writers and Directors for her contributions towards quality television programmes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She was presented with the group’s American Spirit Award at their annual Caucus Honors Dinner in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

Congressman Eric Cantor and Congressman Edward Markey were also honoured at the event.

The actress, who is widely known for her role as Cricket Blake on Hawaiian Eye, has been a Screen Actors Guild member since 1957, and its secretary-treasurer since 2005.

Stevens has also returned to her ’60s roots with her roles in the films Grease 2 , featuring frequent co-star Tab Hunter, and Back To The Beach, starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.
